Proverbs 23:5-7

⁵ Your money can disappear very quickly. It may seem to grow wings and then fly far away like an eagle.

⁶ 8. Do not go and eat a meal with someone who hates to spend his money. His food may be good, but do not be greedy for it.

⁷ He says, ‘Eat and drink as much as you want,’ but he does not really mean that. He is thinking about the cost of the food.
